For more than 25 years, India has been at the heart of my personal and professional journey. What began as a work opportunity soon became a lifelong passion for one of the world's most fascinating and diverse countries.

While helping establish Tourism New Zealand's representative office in Mumbai, I was introduced to an India that challenged my perceptions, inspired my curiosity and completely captured my heart. It was a place of extraordinary contrasts, vibrant cultures and genuine hospitality, and I knew I had only scratched the surface.

​

Since then, I've travelled to India almost 40 times, now spending up to six months each year exploring its diverse regions, discovering hidden gems and building trusted relationships with local guides, artisans, hoteliers and communities. Every journey has deepened my understanding of the country and reinforced my belief that the most meaningful travel experiences come from genuine local connections.

Those years of exploration eventually led to the creation of All India Permit Tours.

My vision has always been simple: to share the India I've come to know and love. Not just the iconic landmarks, but the unforgettable moments that happen beyond the guidebooks. Whether it's sharing a meal with a local family, meeting talented artisans, wandering colourful markets or discovering places few visitors ever see, I believe these are the experiences that truly stay with you.

Today, every small group tour and tailor-made holiday is personally designed using the knowledge, friendships and local expertise I've gained over more than two decades. Each itinerary is carefully crafted to balance India's must-see destinations with authentic experiences that reveal the country's incredible culture, history and warmth.
