Lots of people join my tours as solo travellers – in fact, it’s one of the things I love about small group travel.
You arrive in India as a group of people who may not know each other, and it doesn’t take long before everyone is chatting over breakfast, comparing market purchases, sharing a tuk tuk or deciding where to go for a drink.
Before we leave, I’ll make sure you’re well prepared and know exactly what to expect. And once we’re in India, there’s always someone there to help with the practical stuff – airports, hotels, transport, changing plans or anything else that crops up along the way.
You can be as independent as you like, while still having the reassurance of travelling with a small group and experienced people on the ground.
So, if you’re waiting for someone else to say yes before you book India, you really don’t need to.
I know that planning a trip to India can feel overwhelming, but once you’ve booked your place, I’ll be there to help you every step of the way.
I’ll guide you through all the practical stuff – flights, visas, travel insurance, what to pack, money, what to wear, what plugs you need and all those little questions that inevitably pop up along the way. You’ll know what you need to do and, importantly, when you need to do it.
You’ll also have access to your own private travel dashboard, where I keep all the important information about your trip together in one place. And because life is busy, I’ll send you reminders as we get closer so you don’t have to worry about forgetting anything.
Before we leave, I set up a private WhatsApp group so you can meet your fellow travellers and start getting excited about the adventure ahead.
My aim is that by the time you leave for India, you’re not worrying about visas, packing lists or what happens when you arrive. You’re organised, excited and ready to go.
I’ll take care of the details. You just need to get yourself to India!
Once you’ve booked your place, I’ll be in touch regularly in the lead-up to your trip with everything you need to know. I’ll let you know when to start thinking about flights, when it’s time to apply for your visa, what you need to organise and what can wait until later.
I aim to confirm each tour around four months before we leave, but it's often much earlier if a tour sells out. This gives everyone plenty of time to get flights and the remaining travel arrangements sorted. I do strongly recommend arranging comprehensive travel insurance as soon as you book.
My tours need a minimum number of travellers to go ahead. If, for any reason, we don’t reach that number, I’ll let you know as early as I can and any payments you’ve made directly to me will be refunded in full. Once I know we are going ahead, I let you know that it's time to book your flights.
Most importantly, I’ll keep you informed throughout. You won’t be left wondering what you should be doing or when - I’ll make sure you have the information you need as we get closer to India.
